Webpage Updates and Calls to Action: New Mexico has a surplus in revenue this year. The battle for funding in this session will be intense. Our state must prioritize education funding to guarantee every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. New Mexico must provide adequate recurring revenues. Please consult the NEA-New Mexico website (nea-nm.org) and follow the Facebook page (NEANM1886) and twitter feed (@NEANewMexico) on a regular basis as the legislature draws near. Once you “like” us, the NEA-NM postings will arrive in your own Facebook news feed. During the session, we will have frequent updates on important issues. More important than simply getting information about the session are the regular contacts that we ask you to have with legislators. Most updates will have a specific request for you to do to advance our legislative program.
